Fancy Lucy

This is our most elegant and special offering for those who crave outstanding coffee. We change its origin seasonally and roast it lightly to highlight its complex flavours. Our current Uganda-Bukunzo originates from Kituei, a small trading centre in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains, processed by Agri Evolve at the Nyabirongo washing station.

The beans are produced by over 500 smallholder farmers who cultivate coffee on parcels ranging from 1 to 4 acres. The farmers deliver their cherries to one of four buying stations, ensuring a vibrant and diverse supply. At Nyabirongo, the cherries are meticulously sorted, dried on raised beds for several weeks, and transformed into the locally known ‘kiboko’ before being hulled, graded, and bagged.

Bukunzo boasts a bright and fruity cup with clean acidity and a complex aftertaste featuring notes of sweet toffee and dried dates, all wrapped in luscious bundles of sweetness. This natural coffee showcases unique profiles each season, reflecting the rich terroir of the Rwenzori region.
